Mike is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and has a degree in Marketing and Management from the University of North Alabama. During college, he developed a passion for real estate when he worked for his father, a real estate appraiser, collecting data, measuring houses, and drawing floorplans. Upon receiving his degree, he entered into lumber sales where he acquired a vast knowledge of lumber and building materials. This career spawned an interest in woodworking, specifically cabinetmaking, so he went back to school and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Carpentry and Cabinetmaking.
He briefly taught the carpentry and cabinetmaking program at Northwest Shoals Community College before entering into pharmaceutical sales. Major changes in the pharmaceutical industry compelled him to return to his true passion of real estate by obtaining his real estate license. His knowledge of the residential building industry coupled with his experience in carpentry and cabinetmaking are an asset to his clients when searching for the perfect home to fit their needs.
Mike and his wife, Amy, have three children and two dogs. When he’s not working with clients or spending time with his family, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
